The upstairs primary bedroom has a private balcony with extensive ocean, coastline, and golf course views, a king-size bed, and an en suite bath with a soaking tub, separate shower, dual sinks, and a walk-in closet. The second and third bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) each come furnished with a queen bed and a flat-screen television, and each has an adjacent full bathroom.

Ample comfortable seating frames a large flat-screen television in the living room at Hali‘i Kai 12G, and the kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and all the modern conveniences needed for meals at home. Guests have the option of elegant dining for six inside or open-air meals on the lanai, which also offers a barbecue grill. The villa includes a laundry room with washer/dryer and provided detergent, along with a complimentary pack n' play and highchair, and plenty of extra towels and linens.

Imagine yourself perched above the ninth hole, gazing out at the Pacific coastline, watching spinner dolphins (year-round) or the return of the humpback whales (December through May). For guest enjoyment, Hali‘i Kai 12G also comes with snorkel sets, boogie boards, beach towels and chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, flotation noodles, and sand toys.

We had a fabulous time at Hali’i Kai. The staff was so friendly and prompt. The pool and grille were amazing, delicious grille food, clean facilities, gorgeous views and a nice sea breeze to top it off! The condo was spacious with great balconies and views- perfect for our family. The carpets were a bit stained and the furniture was a little dated and we had trouble with the TV service but settled for watching sunsets and drinking cocktails on the balcony instead
  • Dave Pearce
We were there Two weeks and did not want to leave. Great view of the ocean and golf course. Spent most of our time at the pool which was as nice as listed. Could use a light fan combo above the dining table and two more exterior chairs for the lanai, but that is all. It was nice that we did not need to buy any of the basic toiletries. I know some reviews have the bar at the pool as being a little high but we felt it was close to what would be expected for a resort. The pool opens around 8:30 but the bar-restaurant doesn't open till 11:30. since they do not allow you to bring anything in to the pool area there should be at least a pop machine available for the guests. All and all we would definitely come back again. I would personally like to thank mark, the property manager for taking care of our needs in a timely manner. And to the owner I would like to thank you for investing in something that gives all of us a chance to experience the Island. Mahalo!

Nothing can beat the incredible view that we enjoyed every morning and evening. We loved sitting out on both of the lanais. The location of this condo to the pool was ideal. We enjoyed the food and drinks at the pool too. The beach bag and beach towels were nice to have when we went to the beach. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. I would rebook this condo in a heartbeat. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We were absolutely thrilled the accommodations at Hali'i Kai! This was our first trip to the Big Island and it was awesome! We found 12G stocked with everything we could possible need for this family excursion. From the well stocked kitchen for family dinners to the closet full of water equipment for the beach. The things you don't think about when stopping at Costco were well stocked in 12 G. Storage containers, sandwich bags, extra paper towels, etc. were thankful additions to packing our lunches for the beach. We loved sitting out on the deck eating breakfast with the beautiful view of the water and the golf course. It was so refreshing! The condo was perfect for our family of 5 adults. The three bedroom, three bathroom, with lovely living spaces made the week very enjoyable for all of us. We will return! We will highly recommend this property and the Big Island to our friends and family. Mahalo!

You will want for nothing at this place! The condo is well-equipped with everything you need plus more. Very quiet place within steps of the pool, hot tub, gym and restaurant. The restaurant was very good and the prices weren’t bad at all. Never seemed busy at the pool and you could always get a lounger. The condo has a room FULL of beach amenities. Lots of dishes and cooking utensils as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash so no need to bring your own. We arrived at night and there were no issues getting through the front gate or into the condo itself. Instructions were very detailed. In my opinion, this is the best building to be in on the property. You overlook the golf course, can watch beautiful sunsets from either lanai and don’t have to walk far to get to the pool. Can’t say enough good things about the place and we would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous facility, great view, Ocean Grill limited selection but good food. Our unit needed some major cleaning and some repairs which management was planning to address.
  • Michael Vallenari
A++ location and access to the Owner's Beach Club with pool, bar & restaurant and workout facility is a "must" option to take advantage of and add to your overall cost as a visitor. The only slight negative is that the carpeting is in need of cleaning and possibly replacement due to a lot of marks and stains. Otherwise the unit is in excellent shape.
  • James R.
This unit is located with an amazing view where you can watch whales from the lanai while drinking your morning coffee and/or mimosa. Pretty much the closest building to the spectacular pool and grill where we were stunned by the views and pleasantly surprised by the great food (was expecting a snack stand, not a full-service restaurant and bar). This unit was great for traveling with small children as they provided a high chair and pack n play for our baby. We used all of the beach and snorkeling gear as well - our 10 year old had a blast with the boogie boards and snorkel gear. They provided shampoo, laundry detergent, etc so we didn’t have to drag those with us or buy at store. The unit was really nice. I know some previous reviews have complained that the carpet was a little dirty but after you walk around on the sand and black lava rocks for a couple days you’ll realize there’s really no way for them to keep it pristine as a rental. My wife cried today because she didn’t want to leave. We’re already talking about when, not if, we’re coming back to Hali’i Kai!
  • Angela T
We had a great vacation. Liked the easy access to the resort next door and having a pool and restaurant so close.
  • Bruce Heller
The apartment was spacious and well appointed, the view of the ocean from the two decks beautiful and the kitchen was well-equipped.
  • Erin Belanger
Beautiful property! They thought of everything. Would rent again! Thank you
  • Kevin Doty
Hailii Kai is the best property in the Waikoloa Resort. Our time in 12G was luxurious, peaceful, restful, and more than we could have asked for. We will definitely be back again.
  • Janet Hornick
The condo and views from lanai’s were beautiful. Short walk to pool. Well stocked with essentials. Very roomy.
  • Laura Lewis
Everything you need is here! Beach chairs and toys. Extra paper goods, soaps shampoo...this was our first not having to restock on the basics and we stayed 2 weeks!
  • Kim Skerda
Clean, fully stocked, great view, wonderful location! Would highly recommend.
  • Kurin Perry
This spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit is in an excellent location with a wonderful view. The unit is spacious and is very well equipped with everything you need to cook, household supplies (toiletries, sandwich bags, Saran wrap, detergent, etc.) and towels. There is also a closet full of beach supplies including 2 beach umbrellas, 3 chairs, and snorkel sets and towels for at least 5 people. There are some minor maintenance issues (broken faucet handle, ridiculously loud whining toilet that woke us up in the middle of the night and a slow drain in one shower) that we passed along to the property manager that hopefully will be addressed before the next guest checks in. The only other issue we saw is that there are no blinds, only shear curtains, in the master bedroom and downstairs bedroom. If you are not an early riser and are awakened by the sunlight, the upstairs second bedroom is the only room with blinds. There is a nice walking path to the Hilton next door as well as one in the other direction. We enjoyed our stay and would return if we come back to the Big Island.
  • Van Nguyen
What a view! Everyone in our family was impressed by the location and the views this condo got to offer. You can watch the sunset from the balcony of the unit or in the clubhouse. The condo was clean, spacious and everything was in working order. The check-in and check-out of the resort were easy. The staffs were friendly. The kids enjoyed the club house, gym and swimming pool. Grandpa enjoyed sitting on the balcony any time of the day. The bonus of this location is you can walk across the golf course to the Hilton Resort next door. The local shopping mall is also just a minute away. We'll definitely rent this condo again if we're going to be in Kona area.

My family of 5 (2 adults, 17 year old, 15 year old and 12 year old) loved staying in this beautiful home. Loved being on this gorgeous property, so close to great swimming and snorkeling. The pool was steps away and wonderful (especially for night time swimming) and it was convenient having the restaurant right there when we were too tired from all of our adventures to grill. There were so many helpful things left for us - boogie boards, snorkel equipment, insulated bag, beach chairs, umbrella - it made going to the nearby beaches so much easier. The bedrooms were all lovely, especially the master bedroom, with the private lanai overlooking the ocean, and the incredible bathroom, and were comfortable and cool, which was very nice coming back from the beach. The condo is well situated to go to some beautiful bays. We swam with the turtles on A Bay (5 minute drive with easy parking) and took a wonderful kayak and snorkeling adventure to Captain Cook's monument a short drive away. Everything about this condo was welcoming to the traveling family. We loved that this was our last stop of our Hawaiian vacation. Thanks so much!
  • Elaine Clevenger
This was the perfect vacation spot for my family of five. The condo had everything we needed. There were beach towels, hair dryers, plenty of toiletries, laundry soap, etc. The kitchen had all the conveniences of home. No need to pack those extras! We used the snorkel equipment and boogie boards daily. It was a lovely vacation. I only wish we had planned to stay longer. Thank you Mark Leroy! You were so helpful in planning our dream vacation!! Just one tip get a copy of the book "Hawaii The Big Island Revealed" before your trip it will help you with planning! Mahalo!!!
  • Beau Willadsen
I can't recommend Hali'i Kai Condo 12G enough. Excellent property, excellent property manager, excellent views etc. etc. etc. Everything you need or want in a VRBO, including all the beach equipment. The kids loved the fins, masks and snorkels as well as the boogie boards. Keep up the good work 12G!!! If we ever come back to the Big Island we'll definitely stay here again.
  • Eduard Plasse
I can't say enough about unit 12G in the Hali'i Kai complex, or the property manager. Everything was excellent, completely satisfying vacation. It has beautiful amenities and a great location but it also has the "little things" ie: salt, pepper, cooking oil, aluminum foil, saran wrap, ziploc bags, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper products, excellent linen etc. etc. Not to mention the beach amenities to include: Boogie boards, snorkels, masks, fins, beach towels, beach bags, ice chest on wheels, playing in the sand toys for the little ones. Everything was in perfect working order, no problems whatsoever. The property manager communicated very effectively, called during the stay to see if we had any questions and if everything was working as advertised, and called our last day to see how everything went. Very professional, and a pleasure to deal with. This unit is operated by Elite Vacation Rentals inside the Hali'i Kai complex. Elite doesn't have anything to do with grounds, or the Ocean Grille bar, restaurant, pool inside the complex. The Ocean bar and grill has a beautiful pool, excellent masonry work, and a really cool sand bottom jacuzzi. And it is the best place there is to enjoy a sunset. But I would have to say the only negative about it is the prices at the bar and restaurant. $10 for a beer and $20 for a Chicken Pesto sandwich is ridiculous! Especially since Tropics Ale House is 1/2 mile down the road with way better food and choices of tasty beverages for half the price. But as I stated earlier, the Ocean Club is an excellent place to sit and enjoy the sunset. Plus the Kings and Queens markets have some of the best deals on the island. We ASSUMED (you know what that does!) that since they were located next to all the hotels and rentals that the prices would be high, but after touring the island we found them to be very competitive in price and quality. Plus the Islands Gourmet Grocery store is an excellent place to get your food for your stay. Everything in that store is in smaller quantities and sizes, so you're not buying a lot of food that you just throw away at the end of your stay. All in all, a great piece of property at a great price with excellent service. What's not to like!

Wonderful time with family - perfect location
  • Gregory Flowers
This was a really beautiful , luxury rental that offered a lot. We loved it's close proximity to the the clubhouse and waking up to the ocean view each day. We have rented many vacation rentals and this was by far our favorite. We cooked and the utensils and appliances (calphalon pots) were top notch. They were also generous with the furnishings (soap, shampoo, paper towels and laundry supplies). This was a real bargain in May. We would love to rent here again.
  • Adrienne L.
Great location next to the community pool and restaurant which is right on the coast with ocean frontage.
  • Tina Schattenkerk
We had a hard time leaving as it was such a nice stay. Loved the unit and the location. Would love to stay here again.
  • Scott Chase
Great unit. Almost everything new. Well stocked with amenities right next to pool and clubhouse. Great views. Large spacious living area.
  • James Kennedy
Everything was as described. Easy check in and out. Close to pool. Comfortable arrangements. Will be back.
  • Robert Green
This location blew our whole family away. Great facilities, Great Location, Great staff made our vacation memorable.
  • Maya P
We loved this condo so much we didn't want to leave! This is literally the best spot in the Hali'i Kai complex. Incredible views, super close to the resort amenities, beautifully appointed, and management was a dream to work with. We will be back!
